The Parenting for Faith Zoom Course
What is it?
The Parenting for Faith course is freely available on our website but many people find it helps to have a regular commitment in the diary to watch the videos and somewhere to discuss what they are discovering. The Parenting for Faith Course Zoom course provides an opportunity to join with others virtually and discuss online through consistent small groups of people in a similar situation to you. As you watch each week’s video, you’ll have the chance to reflect yourself, post comments, ask questions and respond to others. It will be hosted by Emma Olorenshaw from the Parenting for Faith speaking team.
Who is it for?
You don’t need to be a parent to join – anyone who has an interest in discipling children and teens is welcome, including foster carers, grandparents, godparents, church leaders and family friends.
It might work well for you if:
- babysitting, work, travel or personal circumstances mean you couldn’t attend a course in person
- there isn’t a Parenting for Faith course running near you at the moment
- you’ve done the course before and would like a refresher
- you like to learn by sharing your ideas and thoughts with others
- you are considering running the course and want to try it out yourself first
- you work or volunteer with children, youth or families
How much time will it take?
It is an eight week course. Each session will be about an hour and takes place on Thursday nights at 8pm.
When and where is it?
It starts on Thursday 25 February 2021 and will run weekly, for eight weeks.
Where can I find support materials?
What does it cost?
£20 per household for the whole eight weeks. Included in that price is a copy of Parenting Children for a Life of Faith: Omnibus Edition (an updated version of Rachel Turner’s first three books) posted to you. This would normally be £12.99 + £2.99 P&P so you’re effectively only paying £4 for the whole eight week course!
How do I book?
I can’t do Thursdays at 8pm. I’d like to do it at another time.
If you’d like to host your own Parenting for Faith course online via video call, we have help and information on how to do this here. The course videos are also all free on our website so you can watch on your own, with a partner or friend or a small group (following current restrictions) and time that suits you.
