Online Babies and Toddlers Course

In the summer term, we are delighted to be running four online Parenting for Faith sessions just for parents and carers of babies and toddlers based on these bitesize videos. There will be breakout rooms throughout the session so we can get to know each other better and explore what parenting for faith looks like with a little one.

The dates are:

  • Tues 13 June
  • Tues 20 June
  • Tues 27 June
  • Tues 4 July

Each session will run from 8-9pm.

Who are these sessions for?

The sessions are suitable for anyone pregnant, waiting to adopt or with a baby, toddler or preschooler. All parents and carers are welcome including grandparents, godparents and extended family.

The sessions have no Christian jargon and don’t make any assumptions about where you are on your faith journey. So invite friends, families from your community, toddler or baby group families and anyone who has come to your church for infant baptism/dedication/thanksgiving as well as regular churchgoers.

What will the evenings involve?

Each evening session will begin with an introduction and some video content to watch – roughly half an hour in total, led by Ruth Morgans, a member of the Parenting for Faith speaking team. The second half hour will be a small group discussion based on the material.

Those signing up as a group will have their own Zoom breakout room for this discussion time. You won’t be in a group with people from outside your church community.

Those signing up as dads/male carers (see below) will have their own Zoom breakout room, led by Iain Nash, a member of the Parenting for Faith speaking team. Iain is a Children’s and Families Minister as well as a dad.

How can I sign up?

When you sign up as a ‘church host’, you’ll get a bargain price of £50, allowing you to invite an unlimited number of families to join you. We’ll be running it on Zoom, so you can either gather in person to watch together, or share the Zoom link with your families.

During the course, you’ll host a discussion group with these families – but don’t worry: we’ll give you everything you need so there will be nothing to prepare in advance.

What if I’m not part of a group?

If you’re not part of a group but you’re a dad or male carer, we also have ten spaces available for a male-only group. These places cost £20 per person which includes a free copy of Babies and toddlers: Nurturing your child’s spiritual life by Rachel Turner
